It’s good to have some big news after a long blog-free hiatus, and here’s mine: I just finished writing a new book of true ghost stories that will be available this September. Called “Spirits Out of Time” it’s a collection of true family ghost stories and weird paranormal experiences. On the cover is a photograph of my Irish great grandma Maggie McDonough, my grandma Dorrie, and great aunt Mimi. I’ll share some of the ghostly happenings that occurred while writing this book in upcoming posts.

An excerpt from the book is available on my website, www.anniewilder.com.

Meanwhile, here’s the cover:

I hardly ever have TV news, so it’s ironic that my first two posts are media-related.

Last Sunday, my house was featured on the “On the Road with Jason Davis” show. Emmy award-winning writer Mike Brunswick, along with photojournalist Dave Peterson, and executive producer Jason Davis did a fabulous job of telling the story of the ghosts in my house. Here’s the link:

I loved this piece but it was hard to watch myself on TV. You know you need a new hairdo when the ghosts look better than you do…

It was a perfectly ordinary winter day at Llewellyn when I checked my Annie Wilder email account and found this from the people at TruTV:

Host for a new paranormal TV Show
The email included a brief invitation to tell TruTV why I’d be the perfect host for a new paranormal program they were creating. And even though I was sure they had sent this email to hundreds of other people too, I was excited.
I fired off a quick, yet designed-to-entice reply. Twenty minutes later, I received a response from TruTV asking if I had video of myself (!). I spent three days trying to track down video from different film projects I’ve been involved with, to no avail. I ended up doing a low-tech, boyfriend-cam*, two-minute monologue from my parlor, in front of the haunted seed poster door. But I like it! Here it is:

Still waiting to hear from my friends at TruTV. . .
Maybe next season?
* Thanks, D-Man.
